The Role

We are looking for a Data Scientist who will support our client teams with insights gained from analyzing data leveraging advance analytics techniques. They must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate has the capability to formulate data driven solutions in collaboration with stakeholders’ business requirements.

Work You’ll Do

• Work directly with client teams to identify opportunities for leveraging advanced analytical techniques to drive business solutions
• Mine and analyze data to drive optimization and improvement of business strategies
• Develop custom AI/ML models and algorithms to apply to data sets
• Optimize prompts for Generative AI applications
• Use Data driven insights to drive business outcomes and communicate the same to stakeholders
• Develop processes and tools to create and monitor data models while maintaining accuracy and other associated metrics necessary for the business objective
• Fine-tune Large Language Models for specific business needs
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 3+ years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree in quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Math, Engineering
• Previous experience working with relational databases and developing advanced SQL queries is a must
• Proven experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as Claude Anthropic, OpenAI's ChatGPT, Meta Llama 2, Amazon Titan, Cohere Command & Embed, or rAI21 Labs Jurassic
• Experience performing data quality assurance and manipulation and
• Experience with statistics and developing and testing models using various machine learning algorithms
• Experience working with ALL of the below technologies:
  • Python
  • AWS Sagemaker
  • AWS Bedrock
  • Supervised and Unsupervised Machine Learning
• Experience producing data visualizations
• Experience communicating insights to both technical and non-technical insights concisely
• Experience working with a business intelligence platforms: Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Ability to communicate analytic findings to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to present to senior executives and client leadership
• Self-motivated. Can-do spirit. Team-player. Flexible. Dependable. Detail oriented. Resourceful
• Willingness to engage in direct client interaction, including travel to client locations
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

• Based in Chicago, IL and flexible to work from our Chicago office as needed

The estimated base salary range for this position is $100,000-$125,000. In addition to this base salary, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. This range is a part of a competitive, total compensation package together with our Employee Stock Ownership Plan, majority employer-paid benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Please note that this range is a guideline and individual total compensation may vary due to numerous factors including but not limited to experience level, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
