Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities
- Leadership and Management:
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team, including mechanics, electricians, and technicians.
- Develop and implement training programs for maintenance staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Manage the maintenance budget, including parts, labor, and other expenditures.
- Preventive and Predictive Maintenance:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.
- Utilize predictive maintenance tools and techniques to anticipate and address potential issues before they impact production.
- Equipment Repairs and Upgrades:
- Oversee the repair and refurbishment of machinery and equipment, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for major repairs, upgrades, and installations.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Process Improvement:
- Analyze maintenance processes and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize equipment usage and improve overall plant efficiency.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance performance, costs, and project status to senior management.
- Emergency Response:
- Develop and execute emergency response plans for equipment failures and other unforeseen incidents.
- Ensure that the maintenance team is prepared to handle emergency situations promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar role in a manufacturing or metal blanking environment.
- Strong knowledge of machinery, equipment, and mechanical systems used in metal blanking.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in industrial maintenance.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Capability to work in various conditions, including high noise levels and varying temperatures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
Additional Information
- This position may require occasional travel to other facilities or vendor locations.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
