Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

• Leadership and Management:
  • Lead and supervise the maintenance team, including mechanics, electricians, and technicians.
  • Develop and implement training programs for maintenance staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, including parts, labor, and other expenditures.
• Preventive and Predictive Maintenance:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance tools and techniques to anticipate and address potential issues before they impact production.
• Equipment Repairs and Upgrades:
  • Oversee the repair and refurbishment of machinery and equipment, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for major repairs, upgrades, and installations.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Process Improvement:
  • Analyze maintenance processes and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize equipment usage and improve overall plant efficiency.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance performance, costs, and project status to senior management.
• Emergency Response:
  • Develop and execute emergency response plans for equipment failures and other unforeseen incidents.
  • Ensure that the maintenance team is prepared to handle emergency situations promptly and effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar role in a manufacturing or metal blanking environment.
• Strong knowledge of machinery, equipment, and mechanical systems used in metal blanking.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in industrial maintenance.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Capability to work in various conditions, including high noise levels and varying temperatures.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
