Customer Service Representative: Loves Park, I llinois
Our client in Loves Park, Illinois is a growing manufacturing company focused on delivering top-quality products and outstanding customer service. As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and play a key role in managing customer orders and inquiries. This position requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative:
- Enter orders and provide order confirmations using the Epicor MRP system for assigned accounts.
- Use Epicor to relay current and future order information to customers and production, addressing concerns as needed.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding order status and expedite orders when necessary.
- Upload customer invoices to their respective invoice portals.
- Manage web-based orders from entry through fulfillment.
- Review order status reports and resolve order delays due to credit or sales-related holds.
- Utilize effective listening and probing skills to proactively identify and address customer concerns.
- Resolve customer problems accurately and in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with internal teams to accomplish company goals and resolve issues.
- Handle inbound calls, answer customer questions, and route calls to the appropriate departments.
- Perform general administrative duties such as distributing mail and ordering office supplies.
Customer Service Representative Requirements and Qualifications:
- Strong listening and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional demeanor with strong integrity and work ethic.
- Excellent time management and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Solid organizational, research, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of customer service experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using Epicor MRP systems.
Pay for Customer Service Representative: $20.00 – $25.00/hour (based on experience)
