Environmental Technician

Responsibilities

• Travel to client sites as part of a team, use testing instruments to collect samples and record data at facility emissions points.

• .Perform equipment calibrations and assist in air quality testing procedures.

• Record data and prepare reports, summaries or charts that interpret test results.

• Prepare supporting documentation such as proposals, test protocols and other compliance reports.

• Conduct data analysis and interpretation, provide test results and analyses to clients.

• Adhere to environmental, health, and safety protocols.

• Organize and load testing equipment for upcoming jobs.

• Maintain and clean testing equipment.

• Become proficient in EPA Methods 1-5.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Geology or Chemistry is preferred.

• Previous experience working in a field-based / hands-on capacity

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Familiar with EPA Methods

• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Adobe

• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.

• Able to travel on a weekly basis

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lombard, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
