Overview

The Senior Consultant, Integration Management Office (IMO) Support is responsible for driving the day-to-day operations of the IMO . They will own the execution needed to diagnose integration challenges, develop plans for solutioning, and facilitate cross-functional stakeholders to advance the integration . This role will primarily report to the Senior Manager, IMO Lead.

The Senior Consultant will act as an integrator across workstreams to shape challenges and develop solutions to advance the critical path of the integration. They will lead effective meetings to problem-solve cross-workstream issues with resources at all levels of the organization. They will drive development of error-free ad-hoc analyses to synthesize information that informs workstream solutioning and executive decisions . They will also develop executive-friendly communications and leadership presentations to synthesize the program status for executive meetings.

The Senior Consultant also leads the Project Management and Administrative function of the IMO. They will build and run processes that ensure teams follow up on actions and drive to resolution. They will develop and manage processes to quality control workstreams' plans and updates in Planview . They will set the agenda for meetings and coordinate beforehand with critical attendees to maximize impact of the meeting. They will effectively facilitate data collection by providing clear instructions and offering support to teams who need to collect information about resourcing, budgets, and synergies . They will also provide ad-hoc support for Integration Finance requests as needed.

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead as a trusted advisor for the IMO leadership and Steering Committee, and provide decision support
    • Leverage a strong understanding of the M&A lifecycle and best practices to proactively identify cross-workstream risks, issues, and dependencies
    • Surface critical challenges for leadership by synthesizing how workstreams fit together and framing integration challenges
    • Develop robust hypotheses and propose solutions to cross-functional groups and leadership
    • Synthesize overall program status for executive meetings
  • Provide execution support for workstreams by leading cross-functional integration planning and solutioning initiatives
    • Utilize strong analytical skills to synthesize high volumes of information and data into a clear summary of the underlying situation, key complications, and best alternatives
    • Drive resolution of risks, issues, and dependencies by facilitating cross-functional solutioning sessions, documenting plans for resolution, and engaging key stakeholders to drive plans to completion
    • Ability to quickly deliver value in a dynamic situation, identifying and providing ad-hoc analyses and execution support to executive stakeholders where needed
    • Provide ad-hoc support for the Senior Manager, IMO Lead as well as IMO Leadership as needed to respond to critical / time-sensitive requests from leadership
  • Run effective IMO project management and administrative activities
    • Manage expectations for workstreams to track and report on progress via an integration project management tool (Planview)
    • Interface with IT and business leadership to advance adoption of Planview for the integration
    • Drive effective cross-workstream meetings and other critical path meetings with workstreams
    • Partner with workstream leaders to collect data required for IMO and Integration Finance leadership to track resourcing, budgets, and synergies

Leverage a team of IMO Support resources for decision support, execution support, and cross-workstream leadership

About You

  • 2 to 3 years of management consulting experience ( or minimum 1 year of experience on integration planning and post-merger integration)
  • Strong experience with analyzing data to build robust models and communicate insights
  • Expertise with crafting and delivering effective executive presentations
  • Expertise with facilitating cross-functional solutioning initiatives and leveraging internal networks to advance integration goals
  • Experience with due diligence, org design, and change management
  • Experience driving PMO and managing complex projects with multiple workstreams across functions and departments
  • Experience managing junior team members and guiding the development and review of large cross-functional deliverables
  • Expertise with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • (Preferred) Experience working with an Insurance broker or other company within the Insurance industry
  • (Preferred) Experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Think-Cell
  • (Preferred) Advanced skills with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R
Compensation and benefits

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
