Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Architectural Associate/Jr. Architect to assist with architectural design and documentation for large, custom ministry facilities. Our projects are a mixture of renovations, additions, and new green site projects.

The ideal candidate will exhibit design talent and a working knowledge of all project phases. They will be effective in working in a team setting, communicating with others, customer satisfaction and technical competence. They will be adept at problem solving, have strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the architect in the production and management of comprehensive and high-quality construction drawing sets, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements. We utilize Revit and responsibilities include conceptual design and presentation, construction drawing and specification production and interior design support.

• Conduct regular quality control checks on drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Address and resolve any design or documentation issues promptly and effectively.
• Matterport building scans.
• Involvement in construction administration, including shop drawing reviews, and RFIs
• Comfortable with all internal and external communications with teammates, project partners and clients via video or phone calls or emails communication. Preparing various rough-draft correspondence for team lead as required by different projects.
• Work with Project Lead to coordinate and review consultant drawings and documents to ensure alignment with project requirements and architectural intent.
• As support for the project team, help with project timelines, deliverables, and budgets related to drawing production and consultant coordination.
• Keep on track with project progress and communicate and help address any potential delays or issues that may impact the production of construction drawings or consultant deliverables.
• Assist in client and project meetings as needed, coordinating as directed by project lead with internal teams to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and on track.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Licensed Architect with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an architectural firm working under a licensed architect.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in commercial architecture preferred.
• Understanding of the church market preferred.
• Strong understanding of design and construction drawing preparation, including architectural detailing, and building systems.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Enscape experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
