Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Chicago, IL 60612 (West Side)
• Healthcare Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center, Interventional Radiology & Pain Management Units
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Locum Tenens)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (September 30, 2025 – December 30, 2025)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends per month); occasional weekend day coverage (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• On-Call: Rotating on-call schedule (Monday–Friday 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM; weekends/holidays 24 hours)
• Floating: Mandatory float within Radiology and Pain Management departments; may float to other hospital units as needed
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Charting System: Cerner EMR
• Parking: $2/day at nearby JTDC with shuttle service every 15 minutes
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2620 - $2690 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (Interventional Radiology nurse and/or Pain Management nurse experience preferred)
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license (required at submission)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (all required for Chicago healthcare jobs)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions for flu only)
• Ability to wear lead protection during interventional procedures
• Timely completion of compliance and onboarding requirements
• Local candidates (within 75 miles of Chicago, IL) accepted

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective nursing care in Interventional Radiology and Pain Management units
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend/holiday coverage as scheduled
• Float between Radiology, Pain Management, and other hospital units as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR system
• Adhere to hospital policies, compliance, and vaccination requirements
• Wear appropriate lead protective equipment during procedures
