Job Summary : Work both as a General Sales Manager and Lead Dispatcher in establishing a proficient and strong sales/dispatch team. Hire, Train and Monitor employees' performance. Coordinate with operations group on tasks associated with daily business functions; orders, pickups, deliveries. Build relationships with drivers and coworkers to foster a productive work environment that focuses on teamwork and efficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Book and schedule freight with premium ratesWork with company drivers and owner operatorsWork both with 3PL's and shippersEstablish a large book of businessTransfer previously established accountsManage approx. 10 unitsIdentify priorities; utilize available resources effectively to meet these priorities; anticipate change and/or problems and reallocate resources when necessaryConfidently make good decisions under timed pressureCommunicate effectively with customers and drivers providing concise instructions or informationUse effective listening skills to collect required information or to identify potential problems / warning signs. Escalate information when necessaryDevelop relationships with customers utilize relationships to influence others and gain willing cooperationEnsure loads are picked up and delivered on time by tracking driver activityRecord and maintain files and records

Minimum Qualifications:

3 or more years of experience in trucking and/or logisticsAlready established solid book of businessExceptional sales, management and marketing skillsHas strong connections and works both with premium 3PL's and customersProficient in English language (Bilinguals welcomed )Familiarization with DAT and other load boards is beneficialIntermediate Microsoft Office skillsOutstanding communication skills with all levels of personalAbility to work in a fast paced environment while ability to prioritize tasksTeam player
