Bartender
Position Overview
The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality while executing Logan Inn's beverage program with consistency, precision, and professionalism. From classic cocktails to genuine guest interactions, every bartender plays a vital role in creating memorable experiences while maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and teamwork.
The Bartender reports to the Bar Manager and General Manager.

Bartenders are expected to deliver exceptional hospitality while maintaining high standards of beverage quality, product knowledge, cleanliness, efficiency, and teamwork.
Primary Responsibilities Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional hospitality while actively tending bar.
- Create a welcoming, engaging atmosphere for every guest.
- Build genuine connections through thoughtful recommendations, product knowledge, and memorable service.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally while exceeding expectations whenever possible.
- Prepare cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to Logan Inn standards with consistency, speed, precision, and attention to detail.
- Maintain expert knowledge of the beverage menu, seasonal offerings, classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
- Ensure every beverage meets Logan Inn quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.
- Complete opening, closing, stocking, cleaning, and side work responsibilities.
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.
- Take ownership of the bar by anticipating needs and leaving every station better than you found it.
- Follow all Company policies, dress code, attendance standards, health and safety procedures, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with every member of the Logan Inn team.
- Bring a consistently positive attitude toward guests, teammates, and yourself. Positivity is non-negotiable.
- Receive coaching with humility and actively pursue continuous improvement.
- Attend staff meetings and required training sessions while helping build a culture rooted in kindness, accountability, urgency, quality, and hospitality.
- Minimum two years of bartending experience.
- Passion for hospitality and creating an inviting, inclusive environment.
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
- Comfortable working a variety of shifts, including the main bar, floor service, patio, and private events.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and hospitable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Must possess or obtain and maintain valid Illinois BASSET and Illinois Food Handler Certifications within the required timeframe after hire.
$12.62/hour + Tips. This is a non-exempt hourly position paid weekly in accordance with Company payroll policies. Employees are eligible for overtime and participation in Logan Inn's tip-sharing program in accordance with applicable laws and Company policy.
