CED strives to pay a competitive wage in the industry and regional market. The pay range for this position is $33-$38/hr. The benefit includes eligibility to participate in 1 of 3 different BCBS of IL medical plans, Dental (SunLife) Vision (EyeMed), Life and Disability Insurance, 401(k) with a generous 6% match on a 6% contribution, 11 Paid Holidays, 5 paid Sick Days (based on a full year of employment). Vacation time accruals.
CMM Programmer – Ensure precision in parts that power space and defense
As a CMM Programmer , you will be responsible for creating, editing, and validating programs for our Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs). Your expertise ensures our components meet rigorous quality standards, supporting aerospace and defense projects with precision.
Essential Job Functions :
1. Develop AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, ballooned drawings, and inspection plans from 3D models and 2D drawings.
2. Write and edit inspection programs using PC-DMIS (or similar software) for parts produced in-house or by suppliers.
3. Validate, document, and revise CMM programs, coordinate with teams for troubleshooting and improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Basic Requirements:
1. Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint interpretation.
2. Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, surface plates).
3. Knowledge of inspection processes and ability to troubleshoot out-of-tolerance conditions in collaboration with engineering and production teams.

Working with industries where our parts are used, we fall under multiple regulatory agencies. All CED Employees must meet the following minimum requirements.
- Missile Defense Agency : Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person (permanent resident or granted refugee/asylum status).
- Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF): Must pass a stringent background screening.
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA): Must pass mandated drug testing (including marijuana prohibition).
