Donor Support Specialist
What You'll Do
- Serve as a dedicated point of contact for donor and founding member ticketing requests, including presale access and ticket availability
- Manage special donor arrangements, including reservations, parking, tours and other accommodations
- Monitor the development inbox and provide timely support for donor and founding member inquiries
- Partner with front-line fundraisers and the Development team to coordinate requests and ensure a seamless donor experience
- Track incoming requests and manage workflow through Asana, ensuring details and follow-up are handled accurately
- Prioritize requests, resolve questions and escalate more complex needs when appropriate
- Support day-to-day donor operations and additional Development projects as needed
What We're Looking For
- 2–3 years of professional experience
- Strong customer service background; retail, hospitality, ticketing or client-facing experience is a plus
- Nonprofit, fundraising, development or donor relations experience preferred, but not required
- Comfortable working with donors, including high-capacity individuals and corporate contacts
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple requests and competing priorities
- Strong follow-through and problem-solving skills
Position Details
- Compensation: $18–22/hour based on experience
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Location: Chicago, IL
- Work Model: Hybrid, 1–2 days onsite per week
- Employment Type: Temporary Contract, approximately 3 months, with potential for extension based on performance
