Master Mechanic

Driven Auto of Waukegan is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Master Mechanic to join our team! If you take pride in quality workmanship, can diagnose and repair a wide range of used vehicles, and want to work in a fast-paced, high-volume shop — we want to talk to you!

Automobile Technician Job Duties:

· Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventative maintenance such as, but not limited to, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations, wheel balancing, replacing filters, etc.

· Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting full inspections; repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, replacing parts and components

· Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; test scans, adjusting controls and systems

· Following serving directors/managements instructions

· Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventative maintenance; calling for repairs

· Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities: reading technical publications

· Accomplishes maintenance and organization missions by completing related results as needed

Requirements:

• 5+ years of automotive repair experience
• ASE Certifications preferred (but not required)
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must bring your own tools
