Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel contract in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience.

Details

• Acute Care ICU setting at a hospital in Olney, IL
• Night shift schedule: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• 40 hours per week, 13-week contract
• Weekend shifts required on an as-needed basis
• Floating required on an as-needed basis
• Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Provides critical care nursing to ICU patients, including those on ventilators, utilizing the nursing process within a multidisciplinary team environment
• Assists with intubation, central line insertions, arterial line insertions, and ongoing arterial line care
• Performs early mobility interventions with ventilated patients
• Delegates and validates care tasks with healthcare technicians (HCTs)
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care
• Conducts initial patient assessments, develops and continuously modifies individualized care plans
• Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with Carle Health for 1 year must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any Carle Health location
• RTO (requested time off) may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
