Job Title: Experienced School Social Worker (PEL Required)

Location: Chicago, IL 60609

Contract Duration: 20 Weeks (2025–2026 School Year)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week (7.5 Hours per Day)

Compensation

• Travel Rate: $55.00 – $65.00 per hour (includes tax-free stipends for eligible candidates)

• Local Rate: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour

Role Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a mission-driven and highly experienced School Social Worker to support students for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional with a strong background in partnering with families, educators, and community agencies to remove barriers to student success. The School Social Worker will serve as a key member of the educational support team, providing comprehensive services to promote students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being in an urban school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Services: Conduct screenings and comprehensive assessments; provide evidence-based individual and group counseling services to students.

• IEP Collaboration: Actively participate as a member of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team, contributing to eligibility determinations, program development, and progress monitoring.

• Family & Community Advocacy: Partner with families and community-based agencies to address environmental and social factors impacting student learning.

• Team Collaboration: Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with school staff and families to support a cohesive and student-centered learning environment.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience as a School Social Worker.

• Licensure:

  • Valid Illinois School Social Worker License

  • Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement (formerly Type 73)

• Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• Professional Commitment: Demonstrated passion for supporting students in high-need, urban school settings.
