Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our team in Normal, IL. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving processes. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate processing of orders.
- Prepare shipping documents and labels, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality, addressing any discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain organized records of shipments, receipts, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and other departments to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Assist in inventory management, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Utilize shipping software and systems to track shipments and manage logistics.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to shipping and receiving.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move packages as needed.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
