Seasonal Summer Help Warehouse Associate

Position Summary:The Summer Shipping Associate is responsible for assisting with the fulfillment of customer orders. Seasonal Shipping Associates receive guidance from experienced team members, develop essential workplace skills, and gain insight into the logistics industry. This includes picking, packing, and loading items accurately and efficiently. Additional warehouse duties may be assigned as needed to support operations during the summer season. The Seasonal Shipping Associate provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and demonstrates strict confidentiality with all team members while serving as an ambassador of our culture.

Essential Functions:

• Engages in training to develop a solid understanding of warehouse processes and safety protocols
• Responsible for reviewing and processing order changes, corrections, cancellations, and reassignments to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely delivery
• Act as a proactive problem solver, addressing shipping issues and providing administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient shipping operations
• Accurately picks, packs, and loads customer orders for delivery.

• Excellent customer service by ensuring order accuracy and efficiency
• Assists team members with resolving daily warehouse challenges
• Prepares shipping documents, verifying shipments against work orders for accuracy
• Sorts, counts, packages, labels, and logs outgoing inventory.•Inspects shipments for damage or discrepancies, reporting any issues to the supervisor.•Moves items to the loading dock and ensures proper authorization for outgoing deliveries.•Operates warehouse equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts (if trained and certified)A

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to quickly adapt to new tasks and take direction from experienced team members.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Basic math skills for counting and verifying
• Manage multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in various software applications, with a preference for candidates who are computer-savvy
• Effective communication skills in English to perform job duties.

Required Experience and Education:

• High school diploma or GED (or currently enrolled in a program).
• • No prior experience required—just a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness tolearn.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull 50 lbs.
• Requires visual, hearing, and speech acuity.
• Requires the ability to stand and walk long distances for extended periods of time.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures and elements, noise, and fumes.
