The Business Data Analyst bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving cross-organizational analytics, automation, and insights. This role goes beyond reporting. It is about scoping requirements with business stakeholders, leading data discovery and cataloging efforts, identifying critical systems and data points, and ensuring the data team builds the right pipelines. You will design ELT workflows, build dashboards, and create automation and AI specifications that directly shape Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and GTM strategy. Data Discovery and Cataloging : Identify key systems, source applications, and data points across the organization. Document what data exists, where it resides, and what is missing to enable business insights.
System Prioritization : Work with stakeholders to determine which systems and data points are most critical for GTM execution, and communicate priorities to the data engineering team.
ELT and Data Integration : Use Fivetran, Databricks, SQL, and PySpark to design and optimize ELT workflows and integrate data across CRM, marketing automation, customer success platforms, ERP, and other systems.
Automation and AI Design : Write specifications for agentic AI solutions and automated workflows that reduce manual effort and improve scalability.
Dashboarding and Storytelling : Build and maintain dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or Databricks SQL that deliver actionable insights for executives and teams.
Business Impact Focus : Tie data analysis directly to GTM priorities including lead management, pipeline health, churn prevention, and revenue optimization.
Stakeholder Communication : Present findings and recommendations in business terms for executives while also collaborating with technical teams to ensure accurate implementation.
Continuous Improvement : Work with data engineers to refine ELT processes, improve data quality, and expand data coverage as new requirements emerge.
