Site Manager
Drive Innovation: Site Manager (Wood Dale, IL) Presented by Randstad Randstad is partnering with a global manufacturing leader to find a visionary Site Manager for their Wood Dale, IL facility. This is a high-impact role for a leader who excels at orchestrating complex operations, fostering safety, and driving profitability.
Salary: From $170,000 per year + Full Benefits Location: Wood Dale, IL (In-person) The Mission As Site Manager, you are the heartbeat of the facility. You will plan and coordinate production, quality, warehouse, and customer service departments while serving as the primary guardian of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards. Key Responsibilities:- Operational Command: Direct all plant activities to ensure manufacturing objectives are met cost-effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma projects to boost productivity and control expenditures.
- Safety Leadership: Head the Site HSE Team and cultivate a culture of total compliance and workplace safety.
- Strategic Finance: Prepare site budgets and manage capital expenditures and staffing levels.
- People Development: Mentor and develop personnel, conducting performance reviews and fostering a high-motivation environment.
- Experience: 5+ years in manufacturing (or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field) + 3+ years in a supervisory role.
- Supply Chain Savvy: Deep knowledge of inventory control, materials management, and logistics.
- Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to delegate and motivate.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Polymerization or ISO auditing is a plus.
- Readiness: Ability to walk the floor daily, manage off-shifts as needed, and travel occasionally (<10%).

education: High School Responsibilities · Oversee all quality standards are met · Coordinate plant activities with department managers and supervisors to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost- effective manner · Define and lead continuous improvement projects that control costs, improve efficiency and increase productivity · Plan and complete approval required for site improvements that drive company objectives · Lead contingency planning efforts as needed direct activities during problem time identify potential problems troubleshoot and participate in analysis problems · Directly oversee HSE compliance and ensure proper procedures are being followed · Lead of Site HSE Team · Establish expectations, demonstrate proper behaviors, manage and train personnel to secure a clean & safe working environment; implement safety ideas · Prepare and control site budgets · Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries · Manage staffing levels of employees for all departments · Supervise, motivate, develop, and train personnel to accomplish company goals and objectives · Conduct annual written review of direct reports performance and goal setting; ongoing performance dialogue with personnel throughout year · Prepare and present communication meetings to site personnel on an on-going, regular basis · Provide monthly reports to General Managers & Corporate Management Team · Complete other related duties as assigned by management The essential functions of this role include:
