Director of Emergency Medicine
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Director of Emergency Medicine -Responsible for direction of patient care activities in the Emergency Department. Manages nursing and ancillary staff in the Emergency Department, provides management of operational and nursing activities. Consults with staff, physicians and CNO on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Oversight of Emergency Preparedness Activities for the organization. outcomes.
Title: Director of Emergency Medicine
Location: Vandalia, IL
Shift: 5 days per week / 40 Hours Weekly - Shift timings to depend on department needs
Start: 3/16/2026
Duration : Preferably 6 months to start, flexible
Requirements :
- 5+ Years of Leadership Experience - [REQUIRED]
- Proven experience in a critical access ED setting - Required
- We will be looking at staffing patterns and patient throughput/triage – prior experience with those areas would be great.
- Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction)
Certification Requirements
- ACLS (AHA)
- BLS (AHA)
State License Requirements
- Illinois
