Job Description

CIBC's Summer Internship Program is a dynamic, 10-week experience (June through August) designed to complement your academic training and support your career aspirations. Centered around the core theme of Learn, Connect, Grow, the program offers a comprehensive blend of opportunities to expand your skills and professional network.

As an intern, you will:

• Learn through hands-on assignments, structured training, and exposure to both technical and analytical skill development.

• Connect by networking across the bank, engaging with employees and fellow interns, and meeting with our executive leadership team.

• Grow through mentorship, leadership support, and community outreach, while developing both soft and hard skills essential for your future career.

Who You Are

• 3.0 GPA minimum

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask

• To be eligible for this position, you must be authorized to work in the U.S.

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree, with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027

• Working towards eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation, a plus

• Coursework in corporate income tax, a plus

• You are comfortable using spreadsheets and data management tools. Experience with financial analysis is an asset.

How You'll Succeed

• Work with our Risk Manager to ensure we are in compliance with Controls and procedures.

• Work with the department manager to get a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of physical security systems to include electronic access control, CCTV systems and intrusion alarm systems.

• Assist the Executive Protection/Driver in conducting location advance surveys.

• Interact with physical security teams at the Enterprise level.

• Learn and Grow - Demonstrate curiosity and a willingness to learn new systems and processes. Seek feedback and ask questions to support your development.

• Attention to Detail - Ensure accuracy in your work and help maintain high standards in all deliverables.

This role has an expected hourly rate of $25.00 per hour for the State of Illinois market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.
