International Logistics Manager
- Service as first point of contact for day-to-day logistics operations. Escalate and advise direct manager as needed. Troubleshooting issues, to ensure continuous movement of freight on-time for both inbound and outbound shipments. Freight Standards in SAP:
- Determine International freight and service provider rates to value inventory and maintain these standards in information systems (SAP).
- Assist in the management of logistics service providers. Participate in business reviews, onboarding, and overseeing service providers for inbound and outbound movement of international freight. Manage their day-to-day performance and ensure that they provide the level of service that was contracted for. Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all logistics functions.
- Assist with processing of freight, duty, storage, inspection, and other service provider invoices.
- Regularly assess business practices, including, but not limited to, partnering with RSC's, retailers, and vendors. Outline opportunities and strategies to ensure continuous improvement.
- Lead in the management of international freight expense management. Including being accountable for spend vs budget, partnering with pricing, and impacts to retailers.
- Provie leadership and act as SME to support business needs. Provide training and support to RSC, Ace Mexico, and other team members to ensure accurate execution of operations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in International Logistics and/or International Operations Department in a Global Supply Chain environment.
- Proven track record in US Export Operations as well as Foreign-to-Foreign trades.
- Clear understanding of international trade terms and concepts, including, but not limited to: FOP, DDP, foreign port operations, general trade regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communications.
- Ability to make sound decision in fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- College Degree preferred.
- Must be a team player with the ability to collaborate with internal and external business partners.
