Asset Management Specialist

James Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHC), North Chicago, IL

This is an Onsite Position

EM Key Solutions seeks an Asset Manager Specialist to work at the James Lovell FHC in the North Chicago Area. The candidate will provide asset inventory services for all IT, telecommunications, telephone equipment, and software.

Duties

  • Facilitate equipment deliveries to and from the warehouse.
  • Process excess equipment and stage equipment for processing.
  • Conduct station-wide (17 clinical and office buildings, 3 to 4 floors each) ongoing inventories of IT computer equipment and maintenance of Asset Equipment.
  • Management System (AEMS) files as per Asset Management SOP provided by VA.
  • Keep software application portfolio up to date.
  • Document and track documentation for all equipment issuance.
  • Validate the Monthly Asset Inventory and submit Monthly IT Inventory Reports.
  • The delivery of Quarterly IT Inventory Reports will include the number and description of the building inventoried, the number of devices/equipment scanned, along with the building number, floor number, room number, and any discrepancies involved.


Requirements

  • Strong organizational and punctual skills, with absolute attention to detail, to ensure accurate documentation
  • Capable of re-prioritizing work efforts as needed
  • Able to speak and draft clear and concise communications
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance
  • Able to work independently without supervisory oversight
  • Ability to problem-solve
  • Diversity to work with and support various groups and teams
  • Capable of walking long distances and repeated movement of equipment weighing over 45 lbs.
  • Capable of moving full equipment pallets around the facility safely, using assistive equipment
  • High Integrity, maintaining the accountability of all IT assets
  • Familiar with MS Office Suite of applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
  • Excellent learning skills; Capable of learning new techniques and technology to improve efficiency.
  • Basic understanding of IT equipment (e.g., hard drives, memory removal, etc.)
  • Capable of operating in a high electro-magnetic environment. No pace-makers, etc


Clearance

The selected candidate must be able to successfully pass a thorough Government background investigation. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
