The Role

Intern must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) during the 10-week program.

• Program Dates: May 29 – August 7, 2026.
• Location : This position is fully remote / work from home in the continental US.
• Work Authorization : US Work Authorization required for this role.
  
  

Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate’s commitment to the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made.

The Main Responsibilities

The Back-end Developer Intern will be responsible for:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop server-side features and APIs.
• Build and maintain backend services using Python and Django framework.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Assist in debugging, testing, and performance optimization of backend systems.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving application architecture and scalability.
  
  

Required Qualifications

What We Look For in a Candidate

• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
• Graduating August 2026 – May 2028
• Preferred fields include but not limited to: Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
  
  

Proficiency And Understanding Of

• Solid understanding of Python for building server-side applications, scripts, and automation.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code for handling business logic and data processing.
• Basic familiarity with Linux command line, file system navigation, and shell scripting.
  
  

Nice To Have Skills, Frameworks & Tools

• Familiarity with Flask, Django, or similar Python-based frameworks.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and how to consume or build them.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform for deploying or managing services.
• Basic knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks like PyTest, unittest, or similar.
• Experience with Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
  
  

Compensation

Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual’s level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.

Hourly Based Pay Range

Min: $ 31/hour

Max: $ 46/hour
