Summary:
This position works within the supply chain for Food, Beverage, and Supplement Ingredients. You will work with a team of Regulatory and Quality members to fulfill and review product documentation, customer inquiries, and supporting documentation, adhering to FSMA regulations. Specific areas include: key day–to–day activities; research into international, Federal, state, local, and internal regulatory requirements; customer interactions; and working closely with cross-functional teams. The Regulatory Compliance Specialist plays a key role in the supply chain.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
- Researching vendor data, internal systems, and various government online sites to gather and compile information in response to customer inquiries.
- Create and maintain databases to support Raw Materials Data Management.
- Review raw materials for compliance with applicable regulations, customer requirements, and industry guidelines.
- Issue questionnaires and documentation to customers to support their approval of the product.
- Assist and implement updates utilizing multiple computer platforms.
- Managing key customer accounts for the approval of products and manufacturers.
- Demonstrate dedication to achieve complete internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Format and create regulatory documents.
- Maintain working knowledge of FDA regulations.
- Read, understand, and interpret regulatory information.
- Simultaneously manage multiple deadlines and projects.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of FDA cGMP, HACCP, FSMA regulations, QA programs, Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) compliance regulations, and compliance with GFSI standards.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Required Education and/or Experience:
- An Associate's or higher degree from an accredited college or university in Food Science, Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry, or other science discipline, or proven experience in regulatory compliance in the food & beverage industry.
- 2+ years of Food Regulatory experience.
- Quality experience is a plus and will be taken into consideration.
