Field Technician

Job Title: Field Technician
Location: Darien, IL
Type: Contract
Compensation: $22.00
Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Hours: Tuesday 5AM to 2PM and Friday 6AM to 2PM (Potentially Wednesday, 6AM to 2PM)

Responsibilities

• Collect cannabis samples from client locations, including cultivation facilities, dispensaries, and manufacturing sites, in compliance with all applicable state regulations and company SOPs.
• Ensure samples are collected, documented, and transported with the highest level of care and integrity.
• Serve as a professional representative of the laboratory, providing excellent client service while maintaining strict chain-of-custody procedures and supporting lab operations.
• Maintain strict chain-of-custody documentation for all samples.
• Handle samples to prevent contamination, degradation, or loss of integrity.
• Accurately record sample collection details using mobile data entry systems.
• Provide professional, courteous service to clients and address basic sampling inquiries.
• Proficient in mobile data entry and Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements

• Must meet the minimum legal age requirement to work with cannabis in the state of operation.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
• Experience in fieldwork, logistics, or regulated industry preferred. Cannabis industry or compliance-related experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check in accordance with applicable laws.
