- Communication : Act as the liaison between the kitchen staff and waitstaff, relaying order details, modifications, and readiness status. Inform servers about any potential delays or issues with orders.
- Coordination : Ensure that all dishes for a table are ready simultaneously to enhance the dining experience. Manage the rhythm of the kitchen during busy periods to prevent delays.
- Sanitation Standards : Maintain cleanliness and organization at the expediting station, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience : Previous experience in a restaurant environment, preferably in a similar role, is often required.
