Akkodis is seeking an AWS Cloud Architect for a Contract job with a client in Houston, TX or Chicago, IL (Remote) . The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud architecture, with deep expertise in AWS, cloud security, and finance application modernization.

Rate Range: $53.03/hour to $68.18/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

AWS Cloud Architect Job Responsibilities Include

  • Design and implement secure AWS cloud architecture solutions following Well-Architected framework principles.
  • Lead enterprise architecture models and establish cloud standards.
  • Develop strategies across multiple domains and subject areas.
  • Provide thought leadership in cloud technologies and guide teams in implementing cloud-native solutions.
  • Ensure cloud security and compliance adherence.


Preferred AI/ML Responsibilities

  • Design and develop AI/ML solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Create scalable AI architectures that integrate with existing systems.
  • Lead AI project teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and implement new AI technologies and methodologies.
  • Ensure AI models are ethical, unbiased, and compliant with regulations.


Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in cloud architecture and enterprise systems.
  • AWS Professional-level certifications.
  • Strong background in AWS services, cloud security, and architecture best practices.
  • Experience with IaaS, PaaS, SaaS environments and cloud migration strategies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and MLOps practices.
  • Proficiency in software development languages (Python, Java, C#).

Pay Details: $53.03 to $68.18 per hour
