Speech-Language Pathologist Job Details

• Setting: Hospital – Acute Care (including NICU)
• Assignment Type: Travel SLP job
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: November 29, 2025
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour day shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2250 - $2310 per week

SLP Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
• Active Illinois SLP license (IDFPR) – required for Illinois speech therapy jobs
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients of all ages, including NICU patients, in a hospital acute care setting
• Collect and integrate case history information from patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals
• Select and administer appropriate evaluation procedures; develop individualized speech therapy plans of care
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve measurable goals
• Utilize standardized outcome measures and document care in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards
• Provide education and training to patients, families, and hospital staff as needed
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students in the hospital setting
