IBM ODM Engineer

Job Description

• Design, develop, and maintain business rules using IBM ODM (Decision Center & Decision Server).

• Configure and implement ruleflows, decision tables, decision trees, and action rules.

• Work closely with business analysts to translate business policies into executable rules.

• Develop and manage XOM/BOM models and ensure proper object modeling for rule authoring.

• Integrate ODM with enterprise applications through REST/SOAP APIs, Java, and other middleware components.

• Implement testing strategies, including rule unit testing, scenario testing, and decision validation.

• Manage deployment, versioning, and governance of rules across environments.

• Optimize rule performance and troubleshoot rule execution issues.

• Collaborate with architecture and development teams to ensure rules align with overall system design.

• Provide production support, debugging, and maintenance for decision services

Skills and Requirements

-Strong knowledge and expertise in IBM ODM 8.X version

At least 5 yrs of technical expertise in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of Rules Projects and ensures that projects meets or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.

• Experience in migrating from JRules to Operational Decision Management (ODM).
