Marketing Associate - Retail & Community Engagement

Are you passionate about bringing communities together and creating engaging experiences? We're looking for a Marketing Associate to help launch and grow a vibrant new restaurant and entertainment district within a dynamic open-air shopping center in Naperville. In this role, you'll develop and execute marketing strategies that drive awareness, increase foot traffic, and boost sales for a variety of local, regional, and national businesses.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the identity of a brand-new retail destination and fostering connections between businesses and the surrounding community.

What You'll Do:

Event Planning: Plan and execute engaging events and promotions that draw visitors and create memorable experiences.
Community Engagement: Build relationships with local organizations, businesses, and residents to establish the shopping center as a true community hub.
Content Management: Manage all consumer communications, including newsletters, blog posts, social media channels, and website updates.
Campaign Creation: Develop and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, social media, email, and print platforms.
Data Analysis: Track and analyze marketing performance metrics to measure success, optimize campaigns, and report on results.
You'll work on-site at the shopping center, reporting directly to the Consumer Marketing Manager and collaborating with the property management team.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
1-2 years of marketing experience, ideally in retail, shopping centers, or community engagement. Local knowledge is a plus!
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
Experience using marketing tools such as Google Analytics, social media management platforms, and email marketing software.
A creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
