- Healthcare Setting: LTAC – Advanced Care/EMU Unit
- Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel RN Contract)
- Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Hours per Week: 36
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025, End: 12/20/2025)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2130-$2190
- Minimum three (3) years of recent nursing experience in LTAC, Intermediate Care, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or Stepdown settings
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system
- Trauma 1 experience preferred
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in accordance with unit protocols and scope of practice
- Apply advanced care nursing theories and procedures in a clinical setting
- Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Monitor EMU patients continuously for seizure activity and respond promptly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support the healthcare team
- Adjust care plans based on ongoing patient evaluations and clinical findings
- Collaborate with critical care teams, hospitalists, and other healthcare professionals
- Promote patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing hazards
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams, including hourly rounding and bedside shift reports
- Engage in ongoing professional development and meet departmental competencies
