Maintenance Technician Second Shift

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for mold/extrusion changes, set-up, and process troubleshooting on molding machines, extruders, auxiliary, and processing equipment. This role requires a hands-on technical ability and strong troubleshooting skills to minimize equipment downtime and ensure quality production.

Responsibilities

• Perform material change-overs on liquid injection machines as per the weekly schedule.
• Check and complete all paperwork associated with the setup and adjustments of tooling, machines, and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain high workmanship standards to produce high-quality products.
• Utilize strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machines and auxiliary equipment, determine root causes of machine alarms, and make necessary adjustments or repair recommendations.
• Initiate root cause investigations for major maintenance-related equipment failures and report findings to the Maintenance Manager.
• Suggest improvements for equipment maintenance to increase productivity and reduce overall costs and equipment failure.
• Promote teamwork and ensure maintenance work orders are opened and closed promptly.
• Communicate effectively with employees and management.
• Calibrate equipment to ensure compliance with standards.
• Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
• Communicate best practices to team members across shifts.
• Exhibit cooperation and professional conduct with coworkers, staff, and managers.
• Meet company standards for quality and productivity.
• Follow all procedures for traceability, process control, safety, and housekeeping.
• Adhere to cleanroom operation procedures, cleanroom attire, and contamination control.

Essential Skills

• Experience in hydraulic maintenance.
• Experience in electrical maintenance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.95/hr.
