Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer specializing in machining to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing and implementing effective manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure high-quality product outcomes while maximizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Determine necessary equipment and process design to manufacture products economically while maintaining fit, form, function, and quality standards.

• Provide documentation, training, and communication of product/process-related information to supervisors and shop personnel.

• Collaborate with Design Engineering to improve product design for cost reduction, enhanced quality, and manufacturability.

• Lead process improvement projects aimed at optimizing manufacturing processes.

• Investigate and recommend procurement of equipment to enhance manufacturing processes.

• Process and communicate Engineering Change Notices and Requests in a timely manner.

• Analyze current and proposed manufacturing processes to improve safety.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing engineering, CNC programming, and machining.

• Proficiency in manufacturing processes and process engineering.

• Experience with CNC machining, programming, brake press, and saw operations.

• Ability to work on ROI processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, or related field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is desirable.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.

• Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Streator, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $95000.00/hr.
