Freelance to Perm Account Manager

The 1000heads Account team is a proud, powerful collective of social media obsessives who are experts in managing client relationships and delivering best-in-class, social-first campaigns. This role is currently a freelance position, but may become a full-time opportunity.

As a Freelance Account Manager, you will play a key role in leading day-to-day client communications while partnering cross-functionally with Creative, Strategy, Design, and Insights teams to deliver high-quality, integrated campaigns. This role is focused on client service, project management, and influencer/creator-led campaign execution.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, solution-oriented Account Manager with strong interpersonal and organizational skills who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment. The ideal candidate brings agency experience across account management and influencer/creator campaigns, with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.

Experience working on large-scale accounts is highly preferred. A strong understanding of social platforms, influencer marketing, and creator partnerships is essential.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work hybrid (2 days/week) from one of our U.S. offices: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, or Miami
• 2–5 years of agency or relevant experience, with a focus on account management and/or influencer marketing
• Experience supporting or managing influencer/creator campaigns
• Strong understanding of social platforms and digital content ecosystems
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strategic thinker with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
• Comfortable leading day-to-day account management responsibilities
• Culturally connected with a passion for social media, content, and emerging trends

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client & Relationship Management

• Lead day-to-day client communication and build strong, trusted relationships
• Develop thoughtful, creative solutions in response to client briefs and campaign needs
• Gain a deep understanding of client brands, audiences, and business objectives
• Monitor market trends, cultural moments, and competitive activity

Influencer & Campaign Management

• Support and manage influencer/creator campaigns from briefing through execution
• Partner with internal teams to develop and deliver creator-led campaign strategies
• Coordinate with creators and/or influencer teams to ensure clear communication, timelines, and deliverables
• Ensure all content and campaign outputs align with client expectations and brand guidelines
• Maintain a strong understanding of the creator landscape and platform trends (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)

Project & Financial Management

• Develop and maintain project timelines, trackers, and scopes of work
• Support budget management, cost estimates, and approvals
• Ensure all work is approved prior to execution and delivered within scope
• Track and manage billing processes to ensure timely completion

Internal Collaboration

• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow across departments
• Maintain organized documentation and centralized project files
• Support the development of client presentations, reports, and campaign recaps
• Ensure alignment with senior stakeholders at key stages

Benefits

$6,000 – $7,500 per month (freelance, based on experience and scope)
