Compensation: $25 – $29 / hour (based on experience)

Job Description:

Addison Group is hiring an experienced SNF Medicaid Biller. This is a contract opportunity focused on a large backlog clean-up initiative involving Medicaid billing and aging receivables. This role is ideal for someone who is highly independent, comfortable managing high-volume accounts, and experienced in resolving older outstanding balances within skilled nursing facilities.

About Our Client:

Our client is a well-established healthcare organization supporting multiple skilled nursing facilities. They are currently seeking additional support to assist with a time-sensitive billing backlog project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and resolve outstanding Medicaid receivables across up to four SNF locations
• Review aging reports and identify accounts requiring follow-up or corrective action
• Process billing and collection activity while ensuring proper documentation is maintained
• Work through a backlog of accounts aging up to six months
• Research claim issues, payment delays, and denials to ensure timely reimbursement
• Update and reconcile patient billing records using PCC (PointClickCare)
• Utilize Medicaid portals to verify claim status and resolve reimbursement issues
• Partner with internal departments to correct discrepancies and support claim resolution
• Maintain accurate notes and tracking within billing and collection modules
• Support additional billing clean-up and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications:

• 2–5+ years of hands-on SNF billing experience with a strong focus on Medicaid
• Familiarity with Illinois Medicaid processes and online Medicaid portals
• Strong understanding of payer contracts and reimbursement structures
• Ability to work independently and manage a clean-up workload with minimal supervision
• Prior experience supporting backlog resolution or aging A/R clean-up projects strongly preferred
• PointClickCare (PCC) experience is a major plus
• High school diploma or GED required
