• Position Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Healthcare Setting: Ambulatory Surgery Center (Operating Room)
• Location: Champaign, IL 61822
• Shift: Day Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Shift Duration: 8 hours per day
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 9/15/2025 – End: 12/13/2025)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1870–$1920

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years nursing experience, with preferred background in Operating Room (OR RN)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active Illinois RN license in good standing
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is a plus

OR RN Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings using EPIC
• Identify and report normal and abnormal findings to physicians and surgical team
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for surgical patients
• Establish IVs for patients aged 8 years and older; ensure safe medication administration
• Participate in time-out procedures with the Operating Room team
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of nursing care
• Modify care plans based on patient evaluation and changing needs
• Promote patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing hazards
• Collaborate with healthcare colleagues and provide constructive feedback
• Engage in ongoing professional development and meet departmental competencies
