Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A middle school is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with appropriate certifications to support their special education program. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with middle school students in a self-contained classroom setting. The role focuses on providing specialized speech and language services to enhance student communication and educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to students with special needs within a middle school caseload
• Collaborate with special education teachers and staff to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school and state regulations
• Participate in professional development and mentoring activities to continually enhance skills

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP - School) certification and Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP - CCC)
• Illinois Special Education teaching credentials
• Experience working with middle school-aged students, preferably within special education settings
• Strong communication, assessment, and intervention skills

• Position is based near Beach Park, Illinois, serving a middle school environment
