Senior Associate Attorney/Special Counsel – Cyber, Data & Privacy Litigation
Locations: New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Washington, DC

Direct Counsel is seeking a Senior Associate or Special Counsel with extensive experience in privacy, data security, and consumer protection litigation and investigations to join a premier Cyber/Data/Privacy (C/D/P) practice group . This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to work on high-profile regulatory enforcement investigations and data privacy class actions at an internationally recognized firm.

• Represent clients in regulatory investigations and enforcement actions involving consumer protection, data privacy, and cybersecurity (e.g., State AG, FTC, and other agencies ).
• Defend data privacy and security class actions , including claims under the Stored Communications Act, wiretapping laws, and data breach statutes .
• Advise clients on litigation strategy, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance .
• Engage directly with tech-focused clients and manage complex projects.

• 7+ years of experience handling regulatory investigations and/or litigation involving privacy and cybersecurity.
• Expertise in consumer protection laws, data breach litigation, and privacy class actions .
• Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.
• Tech fluency and ability to work with clients in technology-driven industries.
• Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and client engagement skills .

• Salary: $420,000+ (dependent on location, experience, and skillset).
