Aegis has partnered with a local manufacturing leader to hire an experienced Industrial Automation Machine Assembler. If you love bringing complex equipment to life and thrive around precision work, this is your arena.

A day in the role

You’ll start your day reviewing engineering drawings, planning your approach to each station, and organizing subassemblies. From there, it’s hands-on: positioning frame assemblies, aligning shafts and motors, mounting brackets, and tying in drive mechanisms, pneumatics, and hydraulics. You’ll validate fits and clearances with calipers and micrometers, make fine adjustments, and ensure each subassembly is production-ready.

What you will do

• Assemble industrial automated equipment from the frame up, including alignment and precision adjustment of components (frame assemblies, brackets, drive mechanisms, pneumatics, hydraulics, and more).
• Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) and hand tools to build and verify subassemblies and final assemblies.
• Interpret and work directly from engineering drawings to confirm correct fits, tolerances, and mechanical function.

What you bring

• 3-5+ years of experience as an industrial automation assembler, machine builder, or maintenance/service technician.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Hands-on skill with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) and common hand tools.
• Proven experience assembling automated machinery with multiple subsystems (frame assemblies, drive mechanisms, motors, shafts, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.).
