Team Jtec is looking for an experienced HR Generalist with payroll and benefits experience.

Summary/Objective

The Human Resources Generalist, with oversight from the HR Manager, is responsible for payroll and benefits administration, employee onboarding, assisting with recruitment efforts, and other Human Resources duties.

Job Duties

  • Processes weekly payroll for employees, ensuring timely and accurate distribution of wages. This includes performing all activities required to process weekly payroll, including but not limited to data entry into HRIS.
  • Ensures policies, practices, procedures and reporting for payroll, benefits and employment comply with federal, state, and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices.
  • Verifies time sheets and resolves any discrepancies related to hours worked or paid time off with supervisors and managers.
  • Administers and responds timely and appropriately to wage garnishments and orders, verifications of employment, salary requests for worker's compensation and disability applications, etc.
  • Responds to any payroll inquiries and resolves issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Administers and maintains daily attendance tracking, corrective action paperwork and providing assistance to employees and management.
  • Assists with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening resumes, phone screens, and coordinating interviews from application to start of employment.
  • Manages the full onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately.
  • Conducts new employee orientation to familiarize them with company policies, benefits, and expectations.
  • Coordinates with various departments to ensure new hires have the tools and resources they need for a successful start.
  • Ensures accuracy of employment data in both HRIS, ERP timekeeping and integration systems with benefit provider systems, in conjunction with performing frequent audits for validation of accurate information.
