Job Summary
We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Psychiatric Social Health Technician. You will support adult behavioral health patients by assisting with daily care, ensuring safety, and promoting therapeutic engagement under the supervision of licensed clinical staff.
Job Description
- Provide direct patient care in an adult inpatient behavioral health setting.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and therapeutic activities.
- Monitor patient behavior and mental status; promptly report changes or safety concerns.
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment by following hospital and unit protocols.
- Participate in de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention as needed.
- Accurately document patient interactions, observations, and interventions.
- Collaborate with nurses, social workers, and other members of the care team.
Skills Required
- 2+ years of behavioral health experience required
- Strong communication, observation, crisis management, and patient support skills.
Education/Training/Certifications
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Additional Requirements
- Shift: 07:00 AM-3:30 PM
Pay rate
- $32 - $37.00 per hour, based on experience, skills and market factors.
