VISITING SENIOR RESEARCH SPECIALIST
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study
5 years of experience in database/software development and 3 years of experience in health-related research
Proficiency with applications such as REDCap (particularly use of APIs), Tableau, SQL, Python, and SPSS/SAS/or R.
Advanced knowledge of machine learning and AI systems and development Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in data science, machine learning and AI or a related field involving research methodology and statistical analysis.
Advanced knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods.
Experience with REDCap advanced logic and data piping and experience working with the UIC Advanced Cyberinfrastructure for Education and Research (ACER) and cloud-based systems utilized by UIC, such as Azure SCE.
Training and in-depth knowledge of UIC IRB and UI Health data regulations and policies and familiarity with University of Illinois system machine learning and AI governance.
