Senior Safety Specialist, 2nd Shift (Elgin)

As our Senior Safety Specialist, you’ll be the on‑site safety leader during second shift, trusted to run point on all safety programs, decisions, and incident response. You’ll have the freedom to take action, identify risks before they become issues, and implement improvements without waiting for layers of approval. Your expertise directly shapes how we operate.

You will:

• Lead and manage second‑shift safety operations with full autonomy
• Own OSHA compliance and drive continuous improvement across policies and procedures
• Conduct proactive inspections and immediately address unsafe conditions
• Manage Safety programs on second shift: LOTO, Machine Guarding, PIT Safety, Confined Space
• Deliver hands‑on training that builds a strong, safety‑driven culture
• Influence strategic safety initiatives in partnership with Corporate Safety and Operations leadership
