SERVER

The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience. Servers must be friendly, outgoing, energetic, and possess good communication skills. Restaurant servers are responsible for positive interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to the guest's needs and make them feel welcome, comfortable, and important. Servers are expected to have whiskey and beer knowledge. Servers are also expected to be continuously learning about our different dishes, where they are from, and the products of our bar. You must be a team player and try to be available to pick up shifts when other employees call off. You are expected to take pride in your personal appearance and show dedication to your job, as well as display integrity and honesty in all aspects of your employment.

DUTIES:

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Prepares the tables by ensuring each table is set, aligned, and looks presentable.
• Performs all other preparation tasks i.e. bring appropriate number of waters to table when guests arrive
• Stay updated on current menu choices (specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items…etc.)
• Presents menus: able to describe menu, suggest dishes, assist in drink selection, inform guests about food preparation details, communicate specific guest needs to the cooks.
• Maintains proper dining experience, assists the delivery of items, fulfills guest needs, offers desserts and drinks, removes courses, replenishes utensils, and refills glasses.
• Properly open and pour wine at the tableside.
• Monitor and ensure that no Guest is over served.
• Obtains revenues, issues receipt, accepts payments, returns the change.
• Performs basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
• Assists with special events as needed.
• Greet all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting.
• Adheres to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
• Understands and can communicate all products.
• Able to use the POS system.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent walking with some standing at times
• Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs.
• Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
• Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and able to kneel and stoop repeatedly.
• Frequent washing of hands.
