Project Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple utility or civil construction projects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and interpret civil construction plans and engineering drawings.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and monthly cash flow forecasts.
• Review contractor proposals, bids, and project contracts.
• Coordinate project activities with engineering, construction, and utility stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, costs, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
• Conduct regular field visits and site walkdowns for assigned projects.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and company procedures.
• Prepare project reports, forecasts, and status updates for management.
• Collaborate with contractors, utility companies, and cross-functional teams to resolve project issues.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for project tracking, financial reporting, and forecasting.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation activities.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of project management experience.
• Experience in utility (electric, gas, or water), civil construction, or engineering projects involving utility installations or relocations.
• Experience reviewing contract proposals and preparing project financial forecasts.
• PMP certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
• Must be willing to travel several times per month to project sites throughout the West Suburban Illinois region.
