Executive Sous Chef
Confidential Sous Chef Opportunity – Chicago, IL
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 + Bonus + Benefits
A highly respected hospitality group is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join the leadership team of one of its premier Chicago restaurants. This is an outstanding opportunity for a culinary professional who is passionate about food, team development, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong culinary background, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. This position will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee all back-of-house operations, maintain food quality standards, and develop a high-performing culinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading daily kitchen operations
- Ensure consistent execution of food quality and presentation standards
- Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost controls
- Train, coach, and develop culinary team members
- Maintain sanitation, safety, and regulatory compliance standards
- Support scheduling, labor management, and productivity goals
- Foster a positive and professional kitchen culture
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Sous Chef experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Experience with inventory management and food cost controls
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Culinary degree preferred but not required
