A well-established Chicago law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic litigation team. The firm represents mid-market businesses, financial institutions, professional service firms, and individuals in a wide range of sophisticated commercial disputes. Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Illinois Bar
• 3+ years of commercial litigation experience
• Strong experience with motion practice, discovery, depositions, and courtroom appearances
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage cases independently and work collaboratively within a litigation team
• Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with clients
• Experience with business torts, contract disputes, real estate litigation, or professional liability matters is a plus

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in a variety of commercial disputes, including contract litigation, business torts, and shareholder or partnership conflicts
• Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and other litigation documents
• Conduct and manage fact and expert discovery, including depositions
• Develop case strategy and provide risk assessments and legal guidance to clients
• Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
• Work closely with partners and associates on complex litigation matters
• Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and timely case management
