Driven by success, the Regional Business Manager will be responsible for top line sales growth and product management functions in assigned territories, driving the specification of our product with Engineers and Architects, quoting of opportunities and their management as they become projects and and the management of and providing direction to a limited number of outside sales representatives.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development and management of repeat business accounts.
- Assist VP of Structural Channel in developing sales plan and strategy for assigned territory to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
- Provide feedback and assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans.
- Responsible for accurate and timely contact/communications with key repeat business accounts.
- Drive the introduction of new products, such as fencing, providing close support to enable further product development.
- Support open communication between repeat business and project-based customers with inside sales and customer service teams.
- Provide timely feedback and directions on the development of new products.
- Provide regular communication on territory development.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Ability to understand technical aspects of material properties and correct material installation.
- Proven leadership and ability to drive sales growth through multiple methods to market.
- Comfortable in visiting construction sites and providing insight and advise to contractors and engineers.
- Work occasional extended hours including nights and weekends, staffing trade shows.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or related field experience required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of industry related selling experience.
- Technical and engineering background preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to travel throughout assigned territory.
