Part-Time Therapist - Healing Beyond Violence (Licensed/Unlicensed)
- Completes a thorough assessment of each program participant’s strengths and circumstances and may provide clinical diagnosis based on DSM-5 criteria.
- Formulates service plans and goals in collaboration with program participant(s) and with supervisory approval, in accordance with program model.
- Evaluates progress towards service plan goals and modifies when necessary to meet the needs and goals of the program participant(s).
- Engages program participants in evidence-based therapeutic interventions which may include individual, family, and/or group therapy, and/or other supplemental interventions, in accordance with program model. Refers program participants for additional recommended services if unable to provide within the program scope.
- Provides limited case management which may include case coordination, service brokerage, linkages with community resources, and recommendations for on-going services when necessary.
- Actively participates in meetings with, and/or provides mental health consultation to, other Brightpoint staff members, as well as other agencies, systems, and community providers to coordinate services and meet the needs of the program participant(s).
- Writes and maintains complete documentation of services for each case in paper and/or digital form and meets all program record-keeping requirements.
- Completes paperwork to meet billing requirements of the program.
- May provide services in offices, homes, schools, agency program sites, via telehealth, or other locations as appropriate to program model.
- May engage in community outreach activities, attend community events, and/or facilitate community collaboration meetings.
- May respond to crisis calls and/or provide clinical management of the crises, depending on program scope.
- Develops aftercare service plans with the program participant(s) and ensures that any recommended services or providers are in place prior to participant(s) being discharged, as permitted within the scope of the program.
- Reports any suspected abuse or neglect to the Department of Children and Family Services per the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act.
- Adheres to funding and regulatory guidelines including preparation and participation in site visits as requested.
- May facilitate clinical trainings for internal and external partners.
- May supervise an intern.
- May transport program participants(s) as needed for program activities.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a closely related clinical field, required.
- Current clinical licensure in the state of Illinois (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT) required.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a closely related clinical field, required.
- Eligible for clinical licensure in the state of Illinois (LCSW, LCPC or LMFT) and will obtain, and maintain, clinical Illinois license within 36 months of employment required.
- Experience with an evidence-based or evidence-informed treatment modality, such as Theraplay, the ARC framework, or other trauma-informed practice preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.
- Compensation: Salary Range: Licensed $28K-$29K Unlicensed $25K-$26K; Offers are commensurate with experience and bilingual candidates may receive additional financial compensation. The salary range provided represents our current estimate for this role at the time of posting and is subject to change. The final salary will be determined based on a range of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's relevant experience, education, qualifications, skills, certifications, and alignment with organizational needs. - Clinical licensure: Licensed clinicians receive reimbursement of licensure renewal fees; Licensure-eligible therapists receive weekly clinical supervision towards licensure, and reimbursement of clinical exam registration fees.
- Benefits: Medical/dental/vision insurance, 3+ weeks paid time off in the first year including the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day (PTO increases with tenure); 11 paid holidays, supplemental insurance options, 401(k) with match (more benefits details here).
- Location: Hybrid (remote/community-based/in office). Therapy provided in homes in Ford, Livingston, Logan, McLean, and Woodford Counties. Therapists may have the opportunity to work from the office or a remote location between program participant visits. Home office will be at 403 S State St.
- Schedule: Part-time, hourly; general business hours with some flexibility for evening appointments as needed to accommodate program participate schedules.
