• Patient Ratios: 2:1 typical, may vary to 1:1 or 3:1
• EMR System: Meditech
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Proficiency with ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000 equipment
• Ability to float to medical-surgical units as needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and compassionate critical care to ICU patients and their families
• Perform advanced nursing procedures: central line insertion, arterial line placement, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using Meditech EMR
• Participate in self-scheduling and fulfill weekend shift requirements
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment in compliance with unit policies
